Let me introduce myself

Hi, I’m Emma, I am a stay-at-home mom to two little girls, Anna and Molly. Life in our house is a beautiful, chaotic whirlwind of giggles, tantrums, and endless snack requests. But this wasn’t always the plan. Before becoming a mom, I worked full-time as a social worker, specialising in disability services and child protective services.

When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I did what most of us do—I researched. I read books, scoured the internet, and asked every mom I knew for advice. But what I found was often vague or incomplete. Everyone said things like, “Once you get into a sleep routine…” or “Once they’re on a feeding schedule…” but no one told me how to get there. I was left piecing together bits of information, feeling like I was constantly playing catch-up.

That’s why I wrote my book Baby’s First Year of Life. Real Advice. No Sugarcoating and have now created this website. I wanted to create the resources I wish I had during those early days—a straightforward, practical guide to navigating your baby’s first year.

I hope that by sharing what worked for me, I can help you find your own path with a little more confidence and a lot less stress.

With love, Emma.
